No, it does not affect your water pressure. Over time, sediment in your water may collect on the microfilter. If this happens, simply open the cartridge and rinse the microfilter to restore normal flow.
Installing your Santevia Shower Filter is easy and takes just a few minutes. Follow the steps listed or find the detailed instructions here.
- Twist open the Shower Filter and cartridge lids.
- Tear open the filtration media bag and pour into the cartridge.
- Twist the cartridge lid back on.
- Hold the cartridge under the bathroom faucet for 30 seconds or until water runs clear.
- Place the microfilter in the bottom of the cartridge and twist the lid back on.
- Place the cartridge inside the Shower Filter, and twist back together.
- Unscrew the shower head from the wall pipe. Use an adjustable wrench if needed.
- Apply two layers of plumber’s tape to the threads of the wall pipe.
- Screw the Shower Filter onto the wall pipe.
- Apply two layers of plumber’s tape to the threads of the Shower Filter.
- Screw the shower head onto the Shower Filter.
- Run the shower to check for leaks. Add more plumber’s tape to threads if necessary.
