Portable recovery stick

I love the idea of this! However the water has a “peppery” taste to it now. It leave quite a bitter aftertaste. My kids, who are happy to drink water, will not drink the water with the filtration stick. I’ve tried really shaking the water or not shaking it and it still has the same peppery taste.
